Lake Michigan College dropped a straight-set road match to rival Southwestern Michigan on Thursday night, falling 25–14, 25–11, 25–22. After a slow start in the first two sets, the Red Hawks battled back with a stronger third-set push, hitting .189 behind key swings from Payton Miller (9 kills) and Mackenzie Ash (3 kills). Grace Richardson added 3 kills and 2 aces, while setter Randi Taylor finished with 13 assists and 4 digs. Defensively, Meghan Marschak led LMC with 11 digs, and the Red Hawks posted nine team blocks, including contributions from Ash, Emma Lewis, and Miller.
Lake Michigan looks to regroup as they continue conference play.
