Red Hawks Compete in Western Conference Women's 5K
LMC continues early-season progress in conference action
The Lake Michigan College women's cross country team took part in the Western Conference women's 5K, testing its progress against familiar conference competition in a well-run meet under good racing conditions.
Lake Michigan College was led by freshman Ayana Harris, who finished 16th overall with a time of 23:38.8, averaging a 7:36 mile pace. Harris provided a steady effort at the front of the Red Hawks' lineup. Freshman Evelyn Bettig placed 26th for LMC in 25:30.2, followed by Ariel Smith, who finished 32nd in 29:18.7. Olivia Howard crossed the line in 34th with a time of 31:27.5, while Makenna Rigg completed the Red Hawks' results in 36th at 35:44.5.
The Western Conference meet offered LMC another valuable opportunity to compete in conference action and continue building consistency as the season moves forward.
