The Lansing Stars defeat the Red Hawks In Three
The Red Hawks hosted the Lansing Stars for conference play last night.
The Stars came out strong and defeated the Red Hawks 25-15 in set one. It was a battle back and forth in set two, but the team was unable to secure the win losing 20-25. In game three, the Red Hawks started out strong with a five point lead and continued to lead the entire game but then the Stars went on a run and finished the set 25-20. The Stars earned the conference win and are currently first in the MCCAA west conference. The Red Hawks are currently in fourth place and are 3-3 in conference play. Offensive players of the game were Taylor Butler and Jillian Bruckner with five kills. Defensive players of the game were Jessica Hand with 13 digs and six assists and Kaylee McDaniel with 12 digs and 11 assists. The team heads to the GRCC Raider Challenge this weekend and will face Waubonsee, Carl Sandburg, GRCC and Oakland. We are Talon Tough!
