The Red Hawks Lose Season Opener To The Bruins
he Red Hawks traveled to KCC for the first round of conference play and fell in three sets.
The first game the Red Hawks battled point for point but lost 24-26. In game two, the team continued to put pressure on the Bruins securing a 15-10 lead. Unfortunately, the Bruins serving proved successful and the Red Hawks failed to gain momentum and Kellogg won game two 17-25. In game three, the Bruins took an early lead and continued putting on the pressure. The Red Hawks struggled with unforced errors and were unable to secure the win. Kellogg swept the Red Hawks for the first conference match of the season. The offensive leader of the match was Olivia Still with 12 kills and seven digs. The defensive player of the match was Jessica Hand with 21 digs, an ace, and four assists. The Red Hawks are currently 1-7 on the season.
