Great Weekend For Volleyball
The Red Hawks traveled to Grace to compete against Grace and Welch.
The team defeated Grace (16-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-14) and Welch (25-14, 25-13, 18-25, 25-23) to go 2-0 on the day. Olivia Deeb ran the offense earning six kills, 68 assists, five aces, 31 digs, and three block assists. The defensive player of the match was Teagan Giannunzio contributing 31 digs, four assists and one ace. Leiana Butler and Emma Hasse also contributed in the back row. Leiana earned 21 digs, four assists, and one ace while Emma had 14 digs, one kill, and one assist. In the front row, Abi Nunez lead the team 23 kills, one assist, two aces, 25 digs, one solo block and one assist block. Other contributors in the front row were Hayleah McFadden with 10 kills, one set assist, five digs, and two block assists. Gabby Cuthbert earned 11 kills, two aces, 13 digs and one block while Karissa Gest had ten kills, one ace, six digs, and one block assist. In the middle, Faith Lewis contributed 16 kills, two solo blocks, and three assist blocks while Jermara Blakmon earned 11 kills, two digs, two solo blocks and 5 block assists. The team is currently 26-10 overall and currently 9-2 in conference. The Red Hawks will battle with SMC on Thursday, Oct 27th at our Dig Pink Match.
