Great Weekend For The Red Hawks
The Lady Red Hawks go 2-0 on the day during their home quad this weekend.
The team defeated South Suburban (25-17, 25-12, 27-25) and Harper (25-22, 25-21, 25-19) in three sets each. It was a great day for the Red Hawks. Olivia Deeb set the offense earning six kills, 52 assists, one ace, 15 digs, and eight assist blocks. The offensive leader of the tourney was Gabby Cuthbert with 20 kills, a .462 hitting percentage, two aces, five digs, and three block assists. Abi Nunez earned 19 kills, one ace, 20 digs and three block assists. Hayleah McFadden hitting from the right sight contributed 9 kills, one ace, seven digs, two solo block, and five block assists. In the middle, Jermara Blackmon scored nine kills, two digs, one solo block, and 13 block assists while Faith Lewis contributed eight kills, three digs, two solo blocks, and four block assists. The defensive player of the day was Tegan Giannunzio with 27 digs, nine assists, and one ace. Other contributors in the back row where Leiana Butler with eight digs and four assists while Emma Hasse had eight digs. The team is currently 22-10 overall and 7-2 in conference.
