Red Hawks Sweep The Roadrunners
The Lady Red Hawks sweep the SMC Roadrunners in 3 (25-20, 25-17, 25-11).
The Red Hawks consistent offense and defense helped pave the way for this sixth straight conference win. Faith Lewis and Abi Nunez were the offensive leaders of the match. Lewis contributed eight kills and two block assists while hitting with a .583 hitting percentage and Nunez had eight kills and 10 digs. Gabby Cuthbert contributed five kills and four digs while Hayleah McFadden added three kills and three digs with a .375 hitting percentage. Karissa Gest earned four kills, one ace and one dig. Jermara Blackmon as a middle earned five kills and one block assist. Olivia Deeb was the setter and defensive player of the game and with 13 digs, two kills, 27 assists and one ace. Teagan Giannunzio contributed nine digs, four assists, and one ace as the Libero. Other back row contributors were Charity Dundas (one kill, two assists, and four digs) Leiana butler (five digs) and Emma Hasse (three digs). The team is currently 19-6 overall and 6-0 in conference play. The team travels to KVCC this Thursday (10/6) to start round two of conference play. Go Red Hawks!
