Lady Red Hawks Continues To Soar
The Lady Red Hawks hosted Lansing on Sept 20th, 2022 for their 3rd conference match this season.
The Red Hawks started out slow in game one but gained momentum as the night progressed winning the match 20-25, 25-11, 25-22, 25-14. Olivia Deeb set the offense earning 36 assists, two kills, three aces, six digs and one solo block. Teagan Giannunzio was the defensive leader with 16 digs, three assists and two aces. Leiana Butler contributed to the back row with 9 digs and two assists while Charity Dundas had three digs, one kill, and one ace on the evening. Karissa Gest was the offensive leader with 12 kills and five digs while Abi Nunez contributed seven kills, two assists and 11 digs from the outside. Also adding to the Red Hawks offense were Hayleah McFadden with two kills and Gabby Cuthbert with four kills. Faith Lewis and Jermara Blackmon both had an exceptional nights swinging from the middle. Jermara had 10 kills, one solo block and a .409 hitting efficiency while Faith earned 12 kills, one solo block and a .286 hitting efficiency. The team is currently 15-3 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The Red Hawks travel to Ancilla to take on the Chargers Thursday, Sept 22, 2022 for a 6:45 pm game.
