Red Hawks Sweep Cougars
The Red Hawk Volleyball Team sweeps KVCC 25-20, 25-21, 25,22 for their first Michigan Community College Western Conference win this season.
The women's hitting efficiency and aggressive serving paved the way for the win! Teagan Giannunzio and Abi Nunez lead the team defensively with 14 digs each while Charity Dundas contributed seven Digs and one assist. Leiana Butler contributed two digs and serve received well the entire match. Nunez was the offensive leader with 11 kills, one assist and three aces. Karissa Gest had nine kills, one ace, and eight digs. Gabby Cuthbert contributed five kills and two digs while Hayleah Mcfadden contributed three kills, one dig and one solo block. Faith Lewis had a very efficient game in the middle with six kills and one solo block while hitting with a .556 hitting efficiency. Mara Blackmon had five kills, one dig and one solo block. Olivia Deeb ran the offense smoothly and earned 35 assists, one kill, one ace and one solo block. The team is currently 10-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
