Lake Michigan College wrapped up its road trip on September 27 with an 8-0 loss to Kellogg Community College. The Red Hawks saw strong work in net from both goalkeepers, as Gracie Pond and Keira Suarez combined for 11 saves while facing 19 shots on goal. Pond started the match and made six saves in the opening 15 minutes before Suarez stepped in to finish the final 70 minutes, adding five more saves under sustained pressure from the Bruins' attack.
Offensively, LMC's best chance came from forward Ava Meyers, who put the team's lone shot on goal. Despite being held without a shot in the second half, the Red Hawks continued to battle defensively, drawing no fouls and limiting Kellogg to two goals in the final 10 minutes of play.
Lake Michigan returns to action, looking to build on the effort and experience gained on the road.
