The women traveled to Jackson College and fell 1-6 in their conference match up.
The match up began with both teams competing with no score for the first thirty five minutes of the game. The Lady Jets scored the first goal finding a hole in the Lake Michigan defense. They then scored three consecutive goals in less then minutes of each other. The Lady Red Hawks left the first half down 4-0.
In the second half, Zenah Farhan (FR/St. Joseph, MI) scored the first goal on the assist from Lexy Gustafson (FR/St. Joseph, MI). The Lady Jets were lucky as their next goal was an own goal on Lake Michigan. Jackson College then closed the game scoring a sixth goal taking the 6-1 win from the Lady Red Hawks.
Olivia Moore (FR/Bangor, MI) had nine saves against the Lady Jets. Gustafson also had two attempts at the goal along with her assist as Yarazet Villegas (FR/Covert, MI) also had two shots on goal.
The women will travel to Muskegon Community College on September 19, 2018 at 4:00 pm.
