Kankakee set the tone early with a 21-9 first quarter, using crisp ball movement and depth to keep fresh legs on the floor. The cavaliers pushed the lead to 40-16 by halftime, and although Lake Michigan found a brief spark in the third quarter, KCC closed strong with a 24-point fourth to seal the game. Lake Michigan struggled to find rhythm offensively, shooting 29.1% and committing 21 turnovers. Danai Childs was a bright spot, scoring 16 points and adding 5 steals and 4 assists. Carlee Rynearson provided a lift off the bench with 10 points on 4 of 5 shooting, while Serenity Farmer chipped in 9 points.
