Red Hawks Rally Past Edison State in Walk-Off Win at Great Lakes District B Regional
Lake Michigan College softball opened Great Lakes District B Regional play on May 7 with a dramatic 3-2 walk-off victory over Edison State Community College, scoring all three runs in the final inning to stay alive in postseason action.
The Red Hawks were held scoreless through five innings before breaking through in the sixth, mounting a late rally in their final at-bat. Down 2-0, Lake Michigan College delivered with two outs to complete the comeback and secure the opening-round win.
Kamryn Holland provided the decisive hit, driving in all three runs with a clutch double in the sixth inning. Ellory Dykstra anchored the effort in the circle, striking out 12 while allowing just two runs over seven innings of work.
The Red Hawks’ late-game execution and pitching performance helped them advance in the Great Lakes District B Regional bracket with a statement postseason win.
