Red Hawks Fall to Lansing in Doubleheader
The Lake Michigan College Red Hawks were swept in a road doubleheader by Lansing Community College on April 3, falling 5-1 in game one and 5-2 in game two.

Lake Michigan opened the day by striking first in the opener when Randi Taylor drove in Kursten Smith in the first inning, but Lansing answered with four runs in the bottom half and never looked back. Ellory Dykstra doubled and pitched a complete game for the Red Hawks, striking out six over six innings.
In game two, Lansing again controlled the pace early, building a 5-0 lead before Lake Michigan mounted a late rally in the seventh. Paige Clinger delivered an RBI during the comeback effort, while Cecilia Conforti and Molly Lieske crossed the plate for the Red Hawks' two runs.
Lake Michigan totaled eight hits across the doubleheader. Dykstra, Conforti, Lieske, Clinger, Madi Dotson, Gabby Solloway, and Smith each contributed offensively on the day.
Conforti added seven strikeouts in 5.1 innings in game two, giving the Red Hawks 13 strikeouts in the circle across the doubleheader.
Lake Michigan will look to bounce back in its next conference matchup.
