Lake Michigan's offense erupted early and never slowed down, scoring in every inning on its way to a 14-hit performance and a run-rule style blowout.
The biggest night came from Madi Dotson, who delivered one of the most explosive performances in program history, going 4-for-4 with three home runs and nine RBIs. Paige Clinger also had a big day with three hits, including a home run and a double, and drove in two runs. Gabby Solloway added a home run and two RBIs, while Randi Taylor contributed three hits and an RBI.
Kursten Smith scored three runs at the top of the lineup, and Kamryn Holland and Clinger each crossed the plate multiple times as the Red Hawks kept pressure on throughout.
In the circle, Cecilia Conforti handled the start and worked five innings to help secure the run-rule win.
The victory gave Lake Michigan a strong response after a one-run loss earlier in the day, as the Red Hawks finished the doubleheader with a powerful offensive showing and momentum heading into their next matchup.
