Red Hawks Dominate Marian Ancilla in Doubleheader Sweep
Lake Michigan College completed a doubleheader sweep of Marian University Ancilla on March 29, earning a 7–1 win in game one before breaking things open late in a 13–4 victory in game two.

In the opener, the Red Hawks jumped out early with three runs in the first inning and never looked back. They added two more in the third and tacked on insurance runs late to secure the 7–1 win.
Kamryn Holland paced the offense with two hits, three runs scored, and an RBI, while Kursten Smith and Gabby Solloway each collected two hits. Ellory Dykstra added two RBIs, and Paige Clinger contributed an RBI as part of an 11-hit effort.
Dykstra also set the tone in the circle with four scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out three. Molly Lieske closed out the game, allowing one run over the final three innings.
Game two remained scoreless through four innings before Lake Michigan erupted for five runs in the fifth to take control. After Marian Ancilla answered with three runs, the Red Hawks responded emphatically, scoring eight runs in the seventh inning to seal the 13–4 win.
Gabby Solloway led the offense with three runs scored and two hits, while Kamryn Holland added three hits and two RBIs. Randi Taylor delivered a big performance with three RBIs, and contributions came throughout the lineup as Lake Michigan totaled 12 hits.
In the circle, Kate Bonds tossed four scoreless innings to start the game. After a brief rally by Marian Ancilla, Ellory Dykstra came in to stabilize things, allowing just one unearned run over the final 2.2 innings.
