Lady Red Hawks Dropped Two Against Jets

The first game started off slow for the Lady Red Hawks. Jackson scored one in the first but the Red Hawks answered back when Madi Vollman, Sydney Payne, and Sam Stewart got on base and Anna Castelluccio blasted her first Grand Slam of the season. This did not deter the Lady Jets as they scored one in the fourth and one in the sixth winning the game 5-4. Payne also hit a double while Kiarra Herson hit a triple. Madi Vollman was the losing pitcher but only allowed three earned runs off of eight hits, three strike outs, and two walks. 

In the second game, the women struggled right out of the gate. Jackson scored five runs in three innings. Lake Michigan shut them down in the fourth and fifth inning. The women scored their only run in the sixth inning and fell 6-1 after the Lady Jets scored their final run in the bottom of the sixth. Madi Vollman hit a double and Sydney Payne had two hits. Angela Schmidt was the losing player but only allowed two earned runs with no walks and no strike outs. 

Lake Michigan will host Glen Oaks Community College on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 3:00 and 5:00 pm. All games will be streamed due to fan limitations.
