Lady Red Hawks Heads Into Post Season

The Lady Red Hawks ended with two conference wins against Glen Oaks Community College. This contributed to their regular season 25-7 MCCAA Western Conference record and a 28-12 overall record. Lake Michigan is currently ranked second in the Western conference which will give them a chance to obtain the MCCAA Championship title. They will travel to host school Mott Community College to first compete against Oakland Community College at 2:00 pm on May 8, 2019. The winner of that game will then compete for the State title, which will either be against Lansing Community College or Mott Community College. The Lady Red Hawks are leading the conference defensively,with only 40 errors, and offensively, with a .397 team batting average. They also were ranked in the top 25 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II polls this week. Their success enabled them to obtain a NJCAA Region XII District I Tournament berth.
