It was a quiet first game as both teams could not put a run across the plate in the first two innings. The Lady Red Hawks then busted it open and scored four runs in the top of the third and in the fourth. Muskegon could not produce and Lake Michigan took the 8-0 win in five innings.
Kiarra Herson dominated the mound with a no hitter. She struck out eight at the plate and only had three walks. Jordyn Swinehart lead in RBI's with three from her single. Brenna Madry hit two doubles with a RBI but it was Herson who also hit a triple and obtained a RBI. Jaidyn Hutsell hit a single with a RBI while Cassidy Zavoral hit three singles.
The slug fest continued in the second game with the Lady Red Hawks scoring a run in the top of the first inning. Muskegon answered back scoring their only two runs of the game. Lake Michigan came out hot in the remaining innings scoring five runs in the second, three in the third, two in the fourth, and four in the fifth to clinch the 15-2 win.
Jaidyn Hutsell received the win with only allowing three hits and striking out six batters. Cassidy Zavoral lead the women with four singles and four RBI's while Hutsell hit four singles with three RBI's. Kiarra Herson hit a single and a triple with an RBI while Tegan Bays hit two singles with two RBI's. Brenna Madry stepped up and blasted a three run homer to aid with the big win.
This gave the women a 6-2 conference record.
