The men competed with the Jayhawks in the first half up until the last few minutes of the game. Muskegon continued to pressure the Lake Michigan defense and gained an advantage scoring their first goal with a header. They were then able to score another goal within a minute and their third and final goal with seven seconds left. The teams left the field with Lake Michigan down 3-0.
In the second half, Lake Michigan intensified their defense, which the Jayhawks had difficulty pushing through. It was Lake Michigan that gained the advantage in this half as Jayden Pribyl scored the sole Red Hawk goal off of a penalty kick. The men ended the game with a 1-3 loss. Enzo Pizzol, Luis Avila, Mariano Brito, and Edgar Bravo all were able to get shots off during the game. Brayan Rojas had four saves.
The men will head to Ohio on Saturday, October 12, 2019 to face Lakeland Community College with a 1:00 pm start.
