Tough Weekend for Red Hawks
The Red Hawks hosted Ancilla College on Saturday and then Schoolcraft Community College on Sunday, October 6, 2019 and fell in both games.
On Saturday, it was an intense game for the men against Ancilla College. Neither teams could find a way to score as both defenses kept them in the game. The second half began a lot like the first with both teams battling. Then the Chargers found an opening and scored the one and only goal of the game with nineteen minutes to go in the game. Jayden Pribyl and Jacob Cochrane both had two shots on goal while Noah Trafford was able to also get a shot off.
It was a different day for the Red Hawks on Sunday as they faced Schoolcraft College. The Ocelots came out in the first half and scored within the first few minutes. Schoolcraft then broke through the Red Hawk defense and score two more times. This left Lake Michigan down 3-0 at the half. The Ocelots came back out in the second half and scored again within the first few minutes. Schoolcraft scored again with eleven minutes left and the game ended with a 5-0 Red Hawks loss. Alejandro Rubi, Mariano Brito, Jose Garcia, and Samuel Wood all put shots up against the Ocelots.
The men will face Muskegon Community College on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 with a 2:00 pm start.
