Lake Michigan then scored their second goal when Brendan Phillips shot a screamer from the top of the penalty box from an assist by Dan Trautner.  Unfortunately, goalie Brayan Rojas took a hard hit that removed him from the game. Lake Michigan left the field at half up by one with a score of 2-1.

In the second half, the Pilots come out with an urgency and tied the game 2-2. Shortly after, Jose Garcia pressed and forced a mistake by the Bethel goalie and was able to to redirect the ball and find clearance to score taking the lead. Bethel responded back due to a ball that cut through the Lake Michigan defenders tieing the game 3-3. The men continued to compete the remainder of the game each having opportunities but the Pilots prevailed with another ball that cut through the Red Hawk defenders and defeated Lake Michigan 4-3.
