Poor Second Half Led To A Lake Michigan Loss

The Red Hawks hosted Jackson College and fell 4-1.

Lake Michigan came out strong as Ted Langat (SO/Nairobi, Kenya) scored the first goal of the game from a penalty kick. The men continued to shut down the Jets offense for the next nine minutes when Jackson scored their first goal from in the box. Both teams left the first half tied 1-1.

As both teams entered the second half, they were able to contain one another from scoring for several minutes. Jackson put enough pressure on Lake Michigan and scored the first goal at the around the sixty seven minute mark. The Jets then continued to chip away at the Red Hawks' defense and scored the next two goals ending the game in a 1-4 Lake Michigan loss.

Langat led the men with five shots on goal followed by Mark Resendez (FR/Hartford, MI) with three attempts. Omar Vazquez (FR/Dallas, TX) had six saves on the day.

The men will travel to Schoolcraft College on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
