Benton Harbor, Mich. Lake Michigan College used a balanced attack and a big night at the free-throw line to pull away from Grand Rapids Community College for a 101-86 victory.

The Red Hawks (13-6, 5-2) led 49-41 at halftime and continued to build separation in the second half, pouring in 52 points over the final 20 minutes to secure the 15-point win.
Jadon Johnson paced LMC with 20 points, knocking down five three-pointers. Caleb Gatewood added 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Karlos Berry also scored 17 and went 7-of-8 from the free-throw line. Javaughn Kuykendoll chipped in 12 points off the bench.
Despite shooting just 39 percent from the field and 29.6 percent from beyond the arc, the Red Hawks dominated at the stripe, converting 33-of-41 free throws. LMC also forced 27 turnovers and tallied 17 steals to help fuel the offense.
Grand Rapids (15-6, 5-2) was led by Nate Keil's game-high 31 points, including five three-pointers. Matthew Richards recorded a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds.
The Red Hawks' defensive pressure and ability to capitalize at the line proved to be the difference as LMC eclipsed the 100-point mark in conference play.
