Lake Michigan College improved to 2-0 on the season with a dominant 94-72 win over Kirtland Community College. The Red Hawks exploded for 52 first-half points, building a 25-point lead at the break and never looking back.

The Red Hawks exploded to a 52-27 halftime lead, forcing Kirtland into 33 turnovers and scoring repeatedly in transition. Despite shooting just 33.8% from the field, LMC generated points through steals, offensive rebounds, and an impressive 33-for-44 performance at the free-throw line. Kanden Davis led with 16 points, while Malik Raines added 14 and five steals. Caleb Gatewood scored 12 in only 12 minutes, Devon Shleton added 12 off the bench, and Andrew Leopold finished with 10 points and six rebounds. Ten Red Hawks scored in the win.
With two convincing wins to open the season, the Red Hawks are showing early signs of a deep, aggressive team built around defense and pace. The Red Hawks return to action on November 7 for their home opener versus Kuyper College JV.
