Lake Michigan College Powers Past Marian University Ancilla 120–86
BENTON HARBOR, Mich. (Jan. 28, 2026) – Lake Michigan College delivered one of its most complete performances of the season Wednesday night, rolling to a 120–86 conference victory over Marian University Ancilla.
The Red Hawks (12-5, 4-1) set the tone early, building a 56–39 halftime lead behind efficient shooting and relentless pace. Lake Michigan continued to pour it on in the second half, scoring 64 points to seal the 34-point win.
Sophomore guard Karlos Berry led the offensive explosion with 26 points on an efficient 12-of-17 shooting performance. Jadon Johnson added 20 points while shooting 8-of-11 from the field and recording four steals in an energetic all-around effort.
Inside, Caleb Gatewood posted 16 points and a team-high 11 rebounds for a double-double, while Javaughn Kuykendoll provided 14 points off the bench on 7-of-11 shooting. Devon Shelton chipped in 12 points, and Andrew Leopold added 10 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
Lake Michigan shot a blistering 61 percent from the field (50-of-82) and controlled the glass with a 42–28 rebounding advantage. The Red Hawks also tallied 12 steals and forced 17 turnovers, converting defensive pressure into transition opportunities.
Marian University Ancilla was led by Kenneth Grant’s 33-point outing, but the Red Hawks’ balanced attack and offensive efficiency proved too much to overcome.
Lake Michigan will look to carry the momentum forward as conference play continues.
