Red Hawks Win High-Scoring Battle at KVCC, 107-95
Lake Michigan College picked up a key road victory on January 10, defeating Kalamazoo Valley Community College, 107-95.
The Red Hawks led 52-45 at halftime and matched their strong first-half effort with 55 points in the second half to secure the 12-point win.
Malik Raines paced LMC with 25 points, knocking down 10-of-11 free throws while adding three steals. Caleb Gatewood recorded 19 points and eight rebounds, and Devon Shelton provided a spark off the bench with 15 points, including three three-pointers. Javon Swansey added 10 points, and Champ Hayden contributed nine points and five assists.
Lake Michigan shot 48 percent from the field and finished 25-of-35 at the free-throw line. The Red Hawks controlled the glass with 40 rebounds and tallied 22 assists in the conference road victory.
