Successful Season For The Red Hawks
Several men's players receive post season accolades.
The Red Hawks' season certainly had its ups and downs, but ended with the Red Hawks second-consecutive appearance in the Region XII District Semi-Finals, along with three student-athletes earning MCCAA All-Conference honors.
Brian Hunter Jr. earned MCCAA Western Conference Second-Team honors after a stellar conference campaign. He averaged 18.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists while shooting 41% from the field, 39% from three-point range and 72% from the free throw line. Brian Hunter Jr. recorded 19 games in double figures, including a career-high 34 points in a victory over Ancilla College. He finishes his LMC career with 704 points score and 100 made three-point field goals.
Abdoulaye Ba earned MCCAA Western Conference Third-Team honors after a great season on both ends of the floor. He averaged 10.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game, shooting 40% from the field and 70% from the free throw line. Abdoulaye recorded double-digit scoring in 13 games, including a career-high 21 points in a victory over the Roadrunners of Southwestern Michigan College. Abdoulaye finishes his LMC career with 417 points scored while grabbing 258 rebounds.
Last but certainly not least, Jadon Williams earned MCCAA All-Defensive Team honors after an incredible season on the defensive end. He often found himself guarding the opposing teams' best players, regardless of position. Jadon, a two-time captain, was an enormous part of the Red Hawks' success in conference play, especially during their run to the Region XII District Semi-Finals.
