The Red Hawks were unable to keep pace with Glen Oaks Community College Vikings on Monday night, in a must win game for the Vikings. The Red Hawks were able to score first, but that was the only lead they held all night as the Vikings were able to convert on 59% of their first half field goals leading to a 47-32 lead at halftime.
The Red Hawks defense improved in the second half, slowing the Vikings down and allowing the score to tighten as the clock rolled under ten minutes. With the Red Hawks drawing within ten, the Vikings sense of urgency increased. They were able to spread the gap once again, led by scoring inside and at the free throw line. Lake Michigan lost the battle with a 74-88 loss.
The Red Hawks conclude the season with a home match-up with Muskegon Community College Wednesday, February 27th with a 7:30 pm tip.
