It was a scoreless first game until the fourth inning when the Red Hawks scored a run. They then scored seven more runs in the bottom of the fifth and closed out the game with a 8-0 win. Nick Henman took to the mound and ended it with a shut out only allowing two hits.
Cole Searles hit a triple and a single with an RBI while Chad Adkerson hit a triple with two RBI's. Marcus Bradford also hit a triple with an RBI as Ryan Remus had two singles. Danny Mahoney hit two singles with two RBI's and Kaleb Burke hit a single with an RBI.
The second game began like the first game with the Red Hawks scoring the first run in the bottom of the second inning. They then scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth and four in the fifth inning. Dashawn Hureskin pitched the shut out allowing only three hits and the Red Hawks won 7-0.
The Red Hawks traveled to Ancilla for the third game and the streak continued. The men scored two in the top of the second, two in the top of the third, one in the top of the sixth, and on in the top of the seventh winning the game 6-0.
Marcus Bradford pitched the shut out only allowing three hits. Chad Adkerson hit a home run and a double with two RBI's while Dalton Riddle and Kaleb Burke hit doubles. Bradford hit a triple as Cole Searles hit two singles with an RBI.
The final game began differently as Ancilla scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the first inning. The Red Hawks answered back in the top of the third scoring four runs. The men scored two more in the top of the fifth inning. The Chargers did not give up the fight and was able to score a run in the bottom of the seventh but it was not enough close the gap and Lake Michigan came home with a 6-2 win.
Nick Frodl started on the mound and pitched for four innings allowing six hits, one run, and struck out three batters. Tyler Pursley then came in to close it out, pitching the next three innings, allowing one hit with one run and struck out three batters. Marcus Bradford hit a double and a single with two RBI's as Owen Benson also hit two singles with two RBI's. Cole Searles hit three singles with an RBI while Aaron Federman hit a single with an RBI.
This sweep puts the men in fourth place in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association Western Conference with a 11-9 record. The Red Hawks will travel to Mid Michigan Community College on Friday, April 26, 2019 with a 2:00 pm start.
