The Red Hawks traveled back to Gordon State College and fell in the first game 3-7 and 0-10 in five innings in the second game.
Lake Michigan came out early ready to play scoring three runs in the first inning and then their bats fell silent. Hunter Nagle (SO/Ottawa Lake, MI) was on the mound and held the Warriors until the third inning when Gordon State opened up and scored six runs. Cole Searles (FR/Niles, MI) came in to relieve in the third and had one run scored off of him. Nicholas Frodl (FR/Cedar Springs, MI) came in to pitch the last two innings and held the Warriors to seven runs.
Cole Searles led the team with two singles and an RBI. Dalton Riddle (FR/Buchanan, MI) and Brady Duval (FR/Niles, MI) both and singles and an RBI each while Ryan Remus (FR/Stevensville, MI), Damion Pompey (SO/Cassopolis, MI), Nicolas Foote (FR/Dowagiac, MI) all had singles.
Tyler Roberts (FR/Barrie,ON) took to the mound in game two and the Warriors had him timed as they scored five runs in the first inning. Roberts went to the mound again and allowed another four runs before Kyle Liddle (FR/Saranac, MI) came in for relief and allowed one run in the second inning. Zach Grishaber (SO/Niles, MI) finished out the game and did not allow any runs to score. Unfortunately, the Red Hawks could not wake up their bats and they fell 0-10 in five innings.
Zachary Banks (FR/St. Thomas, ON) hit the solo single for the game.
The men traveled to Chattanooga, Tennesseee to compete against Chattanooga State but the game has already been canceled due to weather for tomorrow. The men are forecasted to play on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 against Chattanooga State for a double header at 1:00 pm.
