Lady Red Hawks Defeat Lady Pilots

Bethel University JV traveled to Lake Michigan College on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 and the night ended with a Lady Red Hawks win.

The Lady Red Hawks swept Bethel JV in three sets at home. It was a back and forth volley for both teams but the Lake Michigan took the first set 25-21. The Lady Red Hawks continued to improve throughout the night and defeated the Lady Pilots 25-19 in the second set. In the third and final set, Lake Michigan continued to dominate and finished the 25-16 sweep.  The Lady Red Hawks serving, attacking efficiency, and solid defense helped pave the way to this victory.  

MacKenzie Buck had 12 kills, two digs while Aliyah Woodman had seven kills, seven digs, and three solo blocks. Sasha Polishchuk aided the women with five kills, one ace, one dig, one solo block, and one assist block as Emma Ruppel had two kills, 24 assists, and nine digs. Megan Adkerson helped with the victory as she had two kills, one ace, and 14 digs. Victoria Galindo gave the women the advantage with 13 digs and one assist as Alexa Kesterke had one kill, two assists, and 12 digs. 

The Lady Red Hawks overall record is 5-14 and 0-7 in the conference.  The team takes on the Jackson Jets Thursday, September 26, at home with a 6:30 pm game time.
