The Lady Red Hawks came to play but the women fell behind in the first set and could not gain ground losing 18-25. Lake Michigan came back in the second set dominating the court which ended in a 25-15 win. The third set was a lot like the second as the women defeated the Lady Chargers 25-17. Lake Michigan had the fourth set in their favor until Ancilla turned the corner and defeated the Lady Red Hawks 25-21. The fourth set looked bleak for the women as they were down by several points but they were able to rally and pull within points of the Lady Chargers. This rally was not enough and they fell 11-15 losing the match 2-3.
MacKenzie Buck had 17 kills, three aces, one solo block, and two block assists while Mykaille Williams had 12 kills, three aces, nine digs, five solo blocks, and two block assists. Megan Adkerson supported her team with six kills, one assist, eight aces, twelve digs, and one block assist as Aliyah Woodman had 11 kills, one ace, one solo block, and two block assists.
The women will head to Lansing Community College on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 6:30 pm.
