Rasler Named As A Third Team All American

There were several players that received recognition for their efforts on the court this season but it was Gavin Rasler (SO/Niles, MI) who received national accolades.

Gavin Rasler received the highest recognition for the men this year as he was named a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Third Team All American. He also received recognition and was named to the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) All-Region XII Team 1st Team, All-MCCAA, and All-Western Conference 1st Team. Rasler averaged 19.6 points per game, was 73.4% for free throws, 44.9% from field goal range, and was 36.9% from outside the perimeter.

Bryce Saxton (SO/Cassopolis, MI) was named to the All-Western Conference 3rd Team as he averaged 12.1 points per game and shot 65.6% in free throws for the men. Deion Gatson (SO/Cassopolis, MI) and Malik Hall (SO/Benton Harbor, MI) were both named All-Western Conference Honorable Mention and both men averaged 10 points per game. Gatson shot 67% in free throws and Hall averaged 7.8 rebounds per game.

The men finished 10-8 in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Western Conference and had a 16-14 overall record.

Head Coach Jeremy Schaeffer is looking to a strong recruiting class to add to the returning players for a strong up coming season.
