The Red Hawks hosted Mott Community College and fell 73-104.
It was a difficult night for the Red Hawks as they could not find a way to lead throughout the game against the Bears. Lake Michigan won the tip-off and the night started off well as they scored the first points of the game That soon changed as Mott gained their ground and found ways to connect with the basket. At one point in the first half, the Red Hawks closed the gap by 41-46 but the Bears' offense exploded and the men left the court with a 46-56 score.
The second half looked a lot like the end of the first, with Mott dominating the court. The Red Hawks had issues with controlling the ball which led to turnovers. These turnovers gave the Bears a higher hand as they were able to execute their plays. Lake Michigan on the other hand seemed unlucky as they could not sink there shots shooting 44%, which brought more frustration to the court. Mott took advantage of the situation and pulled away with the game ending in a 73-104 Red Hawks loss.
Top scorer of the night was Malik Hall (SO/Benton Harbor, MI) with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both Deion Gatson (SO/Cassopolis, MI) and Adam Nicks (SO/Indianapolis, IN) had 10 points respectively as Bryce Saxston had 12 points and 7 assists.
The men will host Kankakee Community College on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 3:00 pm.
