The Red Hawks were limited to just three hits on the day, with Reed Jonkman driving in the team's lone run. Shawn Nowacki and Joel Harrell accounted for the other hits, with Harrell adding a triple.
Lake Michigan scored in the first inning but was held scoreless the rest of the way despite drawing eight walks. KVCC pulled away late, scoring six runs in the eighth inning to break the game open.
Jonathan Borowski took the loss after pitching seven innings, allowing four earned runs, while Kyler Stratton surrendered three runs in relief.
