The women traveled to Kalamazoo Valley Community College where they battled but lost in five sets.

The Lady Red Hawks came out in the first set on fire defeating the Lady Cougars 25-23.  The women lost steam in the second and third sets losing 18-25 in both.  Lake Michigan came to win and fought back in the fourth set winning 25-18.  This left both teams facing the deciding fifth set.  It was the Lady Cougars that ended up gaining momentum and the Lady Red Hawks fell 12-15. 

Cheyenne Findlay (SO/Hartford, MI) and Bailee May (SO/Centreville, MI) led the team in kills with eight each as Megan Sollman (SO/South Haven, MI ) had seven kills, eight digs, and one block.  Nola Wallace (FR/Niles, MI) had a nice night at the net with six kills and four solo blocks, while Katie Gates (FR/Stevensville, MI) had four kills and four digs on the night.  Madison Hunter (SO/Centreville, MI) came through for the women with three kills, one block and twenty three assists.  

The women will host Glen Oaks Community College on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 6:30 pm.
