It was a tough night for Lake Michigan as they fell in three sets against a strong Lansing Community College team.

The woman remained competitive throughout the night but could not come together to pull out a win.  In the first set, the women were neck and neck until the twenty fourth point when the Lady Red Hawks lost control and fell 24-26.  In the second set, the teams battled back and forth in the beginning but Lansing was able to pull away in the end winning 25-19.  The third set looked a lot like the second with the teams competing but it was the Lady Stars that won the set 25-18 to win the match.

Bailee May (SO/Centreville, MI) was strong at the net with eight kills and also had two aces.  Megan Sollmon was right behind her with seven kills while Taylor Strauss (FR/Buchanan, MI) led the defense with fourteen digs.

The women will travel to Kalamazoo Valley Community College on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 6:30 pm.
