The Lady Red Hawks faced the University of Michigan Dearborn and ended the day with a 1-1 ball game.

It was a nicely paired match up today, as both teams battled and competed back and forth up and down the field. The Lady Red Hawks were able to score first as Morgan Parsons (FR/St. Joseph, MI) passed the ball to Alexis Stevens (SO/Otsego, MI), who was able to head the ball into the Lady Wolverines goal.  The women continued to shut down the University of Michigan Dearborn's offense but one faulty mistake enabled them to score with less than two minutes remaining.   The women stepped off the field tied 1-1 at the end of the first half.

The second half remained tense with several changes of possession.  Although the Lady Wolverines were able to create more opportunities to score the Lady Red Hawks defense shut them down at every turn.  Lake Michigan continued to put pressure on their opponent at the end but were unsuccessful to score and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

The Lady Red Hawks will host Muskegon Community College on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 4:00 pm.
