The Red Hawks traveled to Ancilla College today to face the Chargers, who are currently ranked fourth in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I polls, and came home with a 0-4 loss.

The Red Hawks came out strong on defense and was able to stop the Chargers against several attempts but Ancilla was able to score two goals in the first half.  The men continued to put pressure on Ancilla in the second half but it was not enough to inhibit them from scoring another two goals. Lake Michigan did have opportunities to score but could not connect inside the goal to get back into the game resulting in a 0-4 loss.

Antonio Brito (FR/Dowagiac, MI) stepped up with eight out of twelve saves for the men.  Devonte Brown (SO/Toronto, Ontario, Canada) was able to get two shots off while Nati Schueneman (FR/Benton Harbor, MI), Cliff Brown (SO/Kingston, Jamaica), Mubark Hasan (FR/Comstock, MI), Darnell Peterkin (SO/Toronto, Ontario, Canada), Jesus Reyes-Vargas (FR/Covert, MI), and Josh Wetzel (FR/St. Joseph, MI) all had single shots against a strong Charger defense.
