Grand Rapids Community College traveled to Lake Michigan for a double header and the day ended with, a 6-5 and 9-1 in five innings, Lady Red Hawks wins.

The game started with Grand Rapids scoring in the first inning.  Lake Michigan was able to take the lead in the second inning by scoring three runs and obtained another run in third.  Neither team scored in the fourth and fifth innings, but the Lady Raiders gained the lead in the sixth by scoring four runs making it a 5-4 ball game..  The women did not waiver and scored two more runs in the bottom of the sixth and won the game 6-5.

Alyssa Allen (FR/Dowagiac, MI), McKinzie Kiggins (FR/Dowagiac, MI), Angie White (FR/South Haven, MI), and Kailee Cheek (FR/Watervliet, MI) all had singles with RBI's.  Marissa Dodd (FR/Dowagaic, MI) had two RBI's and hit two singles.  Anna Riggenbach (FR/Bridgman, MI) took to the mound and only allowed four hits and also had tweleve strike-outs.

The women contintued to stay hot by scoring the first run of the second game.  The Lady Raiders answered back in the third by scoring their solo run of the game.  Lake Michigan fought back and scored two more in the bottom of the third inning.  They were able to score one more in the fourth and five more runs in the fifth to end the game 9-1.

Marissa Dodd hit a triple with three RBI's and Alyssa Allen also hit a triple and had an RBI.  Jade Mosier (FR/Buchanan, MI) hit two singles with an RBI while Erica Zandarski (FR/Three Oaks, MI) and Angie White both hit singles with RBI's.  Karlee Liles (FR/Watervliet, MI) received the win with only allowing one hit and had two strike-outs.

The women will travel to Jackson Community College on Saturday, April 22, 2017 for a double header that will begin at 1:00 pm.
