Second seed in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) District G Region XII, Lake Michigan College, hosted the seventh seed Grand Rapids Community College and ended the night with a 77-54 win.

The Lady Red Hawks came out ready to play as they dominated each quarter out scoring the Lady Raiders.  The women never fell behind and kept the pace at a high tempo that eventually wore Grand Rapids down.  

Hailey Maas (SO/St. Joseph, MI) was the top scorer  with 22 points and Kelsee Kinder (SO/Dearborn, MI) was right behind her with 21 points on the evening.  Jade Mosier (FR/Buchanan, MI) held strong in the paint and scored 16 points for the women.  It was a team effort that ended in a 77-54 win.

The women will advance to the semi-final round, which will be held at St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron, Michigan, on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 5:30 pm.  The Lady Red Hawks will face third seed Muskegon Community College, who they were victorious over in regular season.
