The Red Hawks traveled to the second seed Lansing Community College for the first round of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) District 9 Region XII Tournament that ended in a 116-90 defeat.

The game began with both teams gaining possession back and forth keeping the game close.  The Red Hawks battled against the higher seed leaving the half only down by three points.  As the teams came into the second half, Lake Michigan gave a valiant effort but their wheels began to fall off and at one point reached a twenty eight point deficit as the Stars dominated the court.

Big men Cortez Moore (FR/Benton Harbor, MI) and Gavin Rasler (FR/Niles, MI) were the top scorers both with eighteen points.   Cortez also had eight rebounds and Gavin picked up six.  Brian Harris (SO/South Haven, MI) scored thirteen points while Bryce Saxton (FR/Cassopolis, MI) picked up ten.

The men ended with a 8-10 Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Western Conference record and a 11-19 overall record.
