Women traveled to Lansing Community College and fell short by one losing 61-62.

The women fell behind in the beginning, ending the first quarter 15-21.  The women picked their game up in the second quarter but it was not enough to gain the lead, leaving the first half down 31-37.  The Lady Red Hawks struggled in the third quarter, as they never were able to gain strong enough momentum and was out scored by three points.  In the fourth quarter, the women dominated and only allowed the Lady Stars to score eight points but it was not enough to close the deficit and they fell 61-62.

Hailey Maas (SO/St. Joseph, MI) was the top scorer with 22 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals while Kelsee Kinder (SO/Dearborn, MI) came in with 10 points.  Jade Mosier (FR/Buchanan, MI) led the team in rebounds with 11 and 8 points.

This loss keeps the women tied for 2nd place with Muskegon Community College in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association Western Conference with a 11-3 record.  The women host Glen Oaks Community College on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 5:30 pm.
