Head Coach Mike Matti signs two local players for the upcoming 2017-18 Volleyball season.

The Women's Volleyball team ended their 2016-17 on a high reaching an above 500 win/loss record with a 9 and 7 conference record and a 20-14 overall record.  Head Coach Mike Matti is looking to continue the momentum with the 2017-18 recruiting class.  He was able to sign Katie Gates (Stevensville, MI) and Hannah Meskill (St. Joseph, MI).

Katie Gates will be an incoming freshman graduating from Lakeshore High School in the Spring of 2017.  Coach Matti is "excited to have Katie join the team as a Right Side/Middle hitter.  Her addition allows us to get more depth along the front of the net.  She is a big block and has good hands".  She will be a presence to be reckoned with along with the returning sophomores.

Hannah Meskill graduated from St. Joseph High School and is a transfer in from Kankakee Community College, where she attended after high school in 2016.  Coach Matti states that "she is an excellent outside hitter that , according to her previous statistics, will help the team become more consistent in that position".  She will enable the team to become more well rounded and packs a punch at the net.

Coach Matti is still hitting the recruiting trail as he needs to fill a few roster spots.  He will be hosting a Volleyball Day on Friday, Novemeber 11, 2016.  Several players will be participating in campus tours, admissions meetings, and other events planned.  For more information please contact Coach Matti at or you can call 269-927-1000 ext. 5161.
