Men's Soccer - Wed, Oct. 19, 2016

Even though the men were able to take several shots against Muskegon their single goal was not enough for the win.

It was a slow start for the Red Hawks as the Jayhawks scored two goals in the first half.  The Jayhawks came out in the second half and scored right out of the gate making the score 0-3 for Lake Michigan.  Then Leobardo Castillo Acosta (FR/Villa de Ramos) found his opportunity with the assist from Devonte Brown (FR/Toronto, Ontario, Canada) and scored for the men.  That did not hold off the Jayhawks as they were able to put one across the goal line to make the score 4-1 against the Red Hawks, which ended up being the final score.

The men were able to take several shots against the Jayhawks but their defense was too strong and stopped them short of the goal line.  Luis Torres (FR/Hartford, MI) made three saves on the night as the Red Hawks goal keeper and the remaining defense kept the Jayhawks at bay from scoring all of their attempts.

The men will travel to Schoolcraft College for their last game on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 1:00 pm.
